We are excited to share that IGNITE attended on July 19 2023 the Women Deliver conference in Kigali, a global event focused on gender equality and the health, rights, and well-being of girls and women. During the conference, IGNITE took part in a round table discussion hosted by the project donor, the Agence Française de Développement, where we had the opportunity to showcase our project’s vision and objectives.
During this event, we highlighted how IGNITE aims to tackle all obstacles to girls’ education, particularly those related to sexual and reproductive health, in a holistic manner.
Our participation at Women Deliver allowed us to connect with a wider audience, share our insights, and contribute to the global conversation surrounding girls’ education and empowerment. We are grateful for the platform and for the support of the AFD that enable us to amplify our project’s impact on a broader scale.
Inspiring Girls and Grassroots Networks for Inclusive and Transformative Education (IGNITE) is a 36-month project that aims to amplify the voices and agency of feminist-led CSOs and adolescent girls to subvert gender-related social norms that hinder girls’ participation in education and promote girls’ social inclusion and empowerment.
