Feminist Principles guiding the Consortium

We recognize the person first and care for ourselves and each other.

We are committed to meaningful engagement and bring those on the margins to the center by reaching the most vulnerable adolescent girls and organizations

We promote sustainability and ownership and honor the complex process of transformative change

We recognize that women and girls with multiple intersecting identities experience different forms of oppression and privilege

We aim to recognize and dismantle the deeply engrained dynamics of white supremacy and patriarchy including power sharing and decolonizing knowledge

Feminist CSOs have greater advocacy resources, access to evidence, and access to decision-makers, enabled through stronger networks, partnerships, and dissemination of learning,

WHICH WILL

Help subvert gender-related social norms that hinder girls' participation in education and limit gender-transformative education.

IF

Feminist CSOs have stronger organizational capacity gained through mutual capacity- and experience-sharing and improved access to funding that enables them to address social norms in education through programming they determine is most contextually appropriate,

THEN

Feminist CSOs leverage amplified voice, confidence, and agency to advance gender-transformative education and empowerment for marginalized girls, rooted in sustainable and locally-driven approaches
