This Political Economic and stakeholders Analysis is a component of the “Inspiring Girls and Grassroots Networks for Inclusive and Transformative Education” project, aiming to examine the political, economic, social, and cultural factors that influence adolescent girls’ education in Ethiopia. The analysis employed Walt and Gilson’s policy triangle framework to assess the broader socio-political and economic dynamics shaping education policies for adolescent girls. This framework allows for a critical examination of the actors involved in policy formulation and implementation, the processes influencing decision-making, and the contextual challenges affecting educational access and retention.
Inspiring Girls and Grassroots Networks for Inclusive and Transformative Education (IGNITE) is a 36-month project that aims to amplify the voices and agency of feminist-led CSOs and adolescent girls to subvert gender-related social norms that hinder girls’ participation in education and promote girls’ social inclusion and empowerment.
